Ken and Nancy Evans Welcome Center houses campus visits, the Office of Admissions staff and admission counselors. The building opened in March 2021. This is Home to the LU Crew and LU Admission Counselors.

Cardinal View is Lamar University's biggest open house event. Everyone and their families are invited to campus to learn about academic majors, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, student organizations, campus resources, and what life looks like at LU.

Looking to drop off your transcripts, apply, or get help with admissions questions? You can do that at the Welcome Center. At the Welcome Center we are able to take documents and have in house admissions counselors assist you with your application or admissions process.

🖌️ The Nest
The Nest in front of the building symbolizes the baby nest; the mother nest is located in the Houston Airport. The artwork represents our student cardinals at Lamar growing their branches through education and opportunity to be inspired to lead wherever they aspire to make accomplishments in life.
